Need to know

The Northern Lights are only visible during night time when the sky is dark. The best season to observe them is between September and April around 9PM till 2AM.

Aurora shows can be unpredictable even with the best conditions. We want to encourage you to be mindful and patient. They are something totally worth waiting for!

Please have in mind that weather conditions can be very unpredictable in Iceland, therefore North Fantasy cannot guarantee that you will see the Northern Lights or how they will appear in the night sky.

At night the temperature drops quite a lot, we advise you to dress appropriately with several layers and thermals.

How to capture the Auroras?

Use a Tripod: Stabilizes your camera for long exposures.
Manual Settings: Adjust ISO, aperture, and shutter speed for optimal results.
Bring extra Batteries: Cold temperatures can drain battery life quickly.

FAQs

Iceland is beautiful all year around: summer (May to August) for long days & mild weather; winter (October to March) for shorter days and colder weather, ideal for Northern Lights & ice caves.

We totally recommend that you have travel insurance before visiting Iceland.

This is seasonal depending; however, we recommend packing layers, waterproof and warm clothing, sturdy shoes and swimwear for the hot springs.

The weather in Iceland is highly changeable and unpredictable; be mindful of that and always check the weather the day before your tour.

No, unfortunately the Northern Lights are only visible from ending August to beginning of April. Weather conditions may apply.
